Film Synopsis

A Vietnamese–Canadian Legacy tells the remarkable true story of a Vietnamese mother who gave birth under extraordinary circumstances as she fled her homeland—and the daughter born into that moment of uncertainty, whose life would come to embody the promise of a new beginning in Canada. Through their intertwined journeys, the film offers a deeply personal lens on a pivotal chapter in Canadian history, illuminating the courage of refugees and the compassion of the communities that welcomed them.
